Welcome
to
the
Colorado Springs Council of the Navy League! The Navy League was
founded in 1902 with the encouragement of President Theodore Roosevelt
and our Council has been active since 1956.
The Navy League of
the United States is a civilian organization dedicated to serve,
support and stand with all the sea services - US Navy, U.S. Marine
Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S.flag Merchant Marine. Any American
citizen, not in a current active duty status, interested in supporting
the United States sea services, is eligible for membership.
The Navy League has
three missions: to enhance the morale of active duty personnel and
their families; to inform Congress and the American public on the
importance of strong sea services; and to support youth through
programs such as the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Junior ROTC and Young
Marines that expose young people to the values of our sea services.
The Colorado Springs Council was founded in 1956. Our council of
citizen patriots prides itself on sponsoring numerous events that
support are sea service members and their families. Our goal is to
directly support the personnel serving in the Navy, Marines, Coast
Guard and Merchant Marine and their family members.
